Here I would like to write a short review about Jack Power LiPo batteries
( 2 x 5000mah 55C) which we had been testing for a while with different
90 class electric helicopters. (Minicopter Diabolo, Compass 7HV, Trex 700E)
Thanks to the cooperation between Jack Power Battery CO LTD. and Turkey’s first
and leading RC Helicopter forum HeliTeknik we had a chance to test Jack Power
Purpose of this topic is to write a general review about the Jack Power Batteries
according to the test results.
First of all I want to mention shortly about Jack Power Battery CO LTD.
Jack Power Battery CO LTD. was established in year 2003 in the city of Huizhou China.
It was deployed over an area of 12000 m² and has over 300 employees.
The Company is specialised in Lithium batteries used for RC models and has got the
comprehensive authentication of ISO9001 quality control system.
Specifications of the batteries used for the test:
Battery type: 5000 mah 6S 55C (2 pieces used as 12S)
Weight : 800gr. (2 pieces used 1600 gr.)
Dimensions : Yükseklik 54mm / En 46mm / Boy160mm
Max charge rate: 5C/25A
Continuous discharge rate : 55C/275A
Max discharge rate (burst): 100C/500A
At first sight you can see the quality, from the materials used and the craftmanship.
The above-written specifications already give an idea about how powerful these
batteries could be...
It is very important that these batteries can be charged so fast with 5C. This makes
everyting very practical for electric heli flyers and minimizes the charging time
which can be sometimes very annoying.
Also 55C continuous and 100C burst discharge rates are high enough
to fulfill the demands of hard maneuvers and 3D pilots.
Before testing the Jack Power batteries with different 90 class electric helicopters
such as Trex 700E, Compass 7HV and Minicopter Diabolo we soldered the 5.5mm gold
To be able to use the batteries in 90 class helis we needed to connect the two 6S
lipos in series to get 12S and fix them on a carbon plate. This way we could
easily place the batteries into different heli frames.
The first flights we did not push the batteries to their limits for break-in purpose
and we did not have any problems.
After the break-in period we really tried to stress the batteries and the result was
impressive. Jack Power performed in these flights very well.
To be able to feel the difference between Jack Power and a popular, cheaper brand
( 5000 mah 12S 50C) exactly; we flew on the same day and also with the same
helicopter but different batteries.
The difference between Jack Power and the other brand was really noticeable.
After some serious hard flights there was no sign of swelling or deforming.
As a conclusion we can say that the Jack Power batteries performed extremely well.
There was no bogging or power loss during the tests. Also we noted a significant
performance increasing compared to the flight with other brand.
So you can trust the power that you would get from Jack Power and fly as hard
as you can....
